Editorial and corrections policy
Travelers read these pages to decide whether to apply for a permit and when. A wrong rule can mean a fine, a refused rental or an insurance claim denied, so every rule points back to the official text it was read in, with the day it was read.

Radif Partners, reachable at contact@usidpguide.com.
What we read
- the State Department's country information pages, through its public data feed, with their update dates;
- the UN Treaty Collection for the 1949 and 1968 conventions;
- USAGov, AAA and AATA for the permit, its issuers, fees and delays;
- national laws and transport authority pages, when they can be read at an official address.
Sources we refuse
Permit resellers, rental company blogs, travel forums and copied country lists never supply a fact here, even when they are right; they can only point us to the text to read. When no official text settles a question, the page says "not stated clearly by an official source".
Review cycle
We read the State Department's feed again at least every quarter, and whenever a reader reports a change. Each country page shows the Department's own update date, so a stale text is visible.
Corrections
- We open the official text again.
- We correct the data file and its reading date, and add a test when a calculation is involved.
- The site rebuilds and every page shows the new date.
